In the early 2000s, upon the initiative of the hunmagyar.org webmaster, we provided a homepage for the Ottawa Hungarian Community Centre on our website (please see below), so that the Ottawa Hungarian Community's main organization could have a presence on the web, before the current website of the Ottawa Hungarian Community Centre was created. We bring our visitors' attention to the fact that we no longer update the pages below, but we keep them accessible as they are of archival value to those interested in the history of the Ottawa Hungarian Community. The Hungarian Community Centre of Ottawa provides its facilities for the cultural events and national festivities of the Hungarian community of the National Capital Region. We offer fine traditional Hungarian dining and entertainment such as folkdancing, theatre, music, and films. The entertainment is provided by local Hungarian groups and performers from Hungary. On festive occasions, music is provided by the community centre's own orchestra. Visiting Hungarian political and academic officials also give lectures here.
